Search the project or promoter name on the official Telangana RERA portal (rera.telangana.gov.in). Every project above the threshold size must display its TS RERA registration number – insist on seeing it on brochures and agreements. On the portal you can check the sanctioned plan, promoter details, completion timeline and any complaints.
If a project claims to be exempt, verify why (small size, completion before RERA, etc.) rather than taking the marketing team’s word. Booking in an unregistered project that should be registered removes most of your legal protections – walk away or demand registration first.
